Are you like me tired of burning CDs or DVDs and don't like that experience?

Here's a list of things you should know to avoid burning media and save time!

• All new PCs now provide support to boot from USB devices

• If you happen to download an ISO image and want to burn it on CD or DVD to do anything with it, check out WinImage (or similar tools), you can essentially extract an ISO image to a USB drive (that’s like burning to USB device).

• You want to play mp3 cds on your car? Most new cars are iPod ready. And if your car does not have iPod support, you can buy ipod adaptors or those ipod fm transmitters (which I don’t recommend). If you don’t have an iPod you can add an auxiliary input for whatever other mp3 player you have.

• Don’t create backups on CDs or DVDs; chances are you'll never use them. Instead back up your files to external USB drives. External USB drive devices have become really cheap these days.

iPods not only provide portable music, but also can serve as external usb hard drives.
Candadian companies are banning iPods from the workplace to protect sensitive data from being copied to ipods. Other methods such as restricting access to usb ports have not been very effective.
The survey of information-technology managers commissioned by Sun Microsystems Canada Inc. found 30 per cent canadian companies had banned MP3 players from the workplace.
Almost half the 259 companies surveyed between March and May had policies to keep employees' laptops and USB devices out of the office.

* I wished that the iPod came with options to let me change battery and to use a secondary battery.
* I wished that the iPod mini came with a power adapter along with its original package, so I don't have to carry my laptop around just to charge my iPod or don't have to spend extra money to buy a power adapter.
* I wished that all the iPod accesssories like the iPod case, iPod car charger, iPod power adapter, iPod FM transmitter, iPod socks, iPod Armband, were priced a little cheaper.
* I wished that the iPod shuffle came with a display screen.
