BMW-Google innovations - The beginning

BMW and Google have partnered based on their common vision for a network-connected world. One of the products of this collaboration is based on a simple thought. Lets say you were browsing the internet and found a restaurant at google maps that you'd like to go for dinner. You could jot it down and then take it to your navigation system and punch it in, but there are better ways. What I usually do is send an sms to my cell and then punch in to my GPS. BMW and Google have come up with a nice feature so that you can send the address to your BMW's navigation system directly from Google maps. Here's a video demo of this feature.

Craigslist-GoogleMaps combo site

A guy called Paul has come with a Craigslist-GoogleMaps combo site housingmaps.com.
The site provides the Google maps view of all the listings at Craigslist for the specific city you select.
At this time the website provides the following search filtering:
1. for rent, for sale, rooms or sublets
2. City: Has over 35 US cities and includes Toronto.
3. Price Range: You cannot specify a price range, but you can pick from the pre-defined list of price ranges.

Google image ripper

I was searching for some nature pictures and wallpapers on google images. After viewing a few I was trying to see if there is a Next button that I can click to see the next image.
All I could do was click on an image, click on another link that says full size image and then close the window and repeat the process. Looked too complex and retarded. So I tried to do some google search and ended up in this website which was hosting an application called Google Grab.
What it does is searches and displays google images like a slide show and at the same time creates a directory with the word in your search and stores those images to your hard drive. You can delete them after you view if you don't want to keep them. I think I would never do a google image search again if I want to view so many images in a short amount of time or may be if I just wanted to see larger images and not waste my time seeing thumbnails or small gifs. It also helps adult image filtering, so you can avoid porn. I am not sure how much this is effective though.
I think it's a great product! Would recommend!
