Don't burn a CD or DVD ever!
Are you like me tired of burning CDs or DVDs and don't like that experience?
Here's a list of things you should know to avoid burning media and save time!
- All new PCs now provide support to boot from USB devices
- If you happen to download an ISO image and want to burn it on CD or DVD to do anything with it, check out WinImage (or similar tools), you can essentially extract an ISO image to a USB drive (that’s like burning to USB device).
- You want to play mp3 cds on your car? Most new cars are iPod ready. And if your car does not have iPod support, you can buy ipod adaptors or those ipod fm transmitters (which I don’t recommend). If you don’t have an iPod you can add an auxiliary input for whatever other mp3 player you have.
- Don’t create backups on CDs or DVDs; chances are you'll never use them. Instead back up your files to external USB drives. External USB drive devices have become really cheap these days.
