iPods banned in work place in canada

iPods not only provide portable music, but also can serve as external usb hard drives.
Candadian companies are banning iPods from the workplace to protect sensitive data from being copied to ipods. Other methods such as restricting access to usb ports have not been very effective.
The survey of information-technology managers commissioned by Sun Microsystems Canada Inc. found 30 per cent canadian companies had banned MP3 players from the workplace.
Almost half the 259 companies surveyed between March and May had policies to keep employees' laptops and USB devices out of the office.
